September 4, 2024

Climate Week NYC will host over 600 in-person and online events across New York City between September 22 and 29 this year. This annual climate event is expected to bring together tens of thousands of diverse stakeholders to collaborate and drive global climate progress.

To help you navigate the extensive agenda and make the most of your time, we’ve put together a guide highlighting key corporate sustainability events, along with additional activities and tips.

What is Climate Week NYC

Climate Week NYC is a significant global event focused on accelerating climate action, held annually in New York City alongside the United Nations General Assembly. Launched in 2009 by the Climate Group, it has grown in scope and impact over the years and has become an essential platform for governments, businesses, non-profits, and communities.

The theme for this year, “It’s Time,” underscores the urgency of accelerating climate action and systemic change. The primary public events of Climate Week NYC 2024 include:

  • Opening Ceremony (9/22 @ 1-6 pm ET) featuring major announcements, discussions, and interviews with international leaders.
  • The Hub Live (9/23-9/24) featuring over 1,000 influential leaders to discuss key climate themes over the two-day conference.

In addition, hundreds of side events will be hosted by various organizations throughout the week, ranging from high-profile conferences, panel discussions, and workshops to community-led activities, climate tech exhibitions, and networking events.
